It is necessary for health and safety reasons for all children to wear sensible shoes (not trainers) in order to use the equipment on the Recky at playtimes and lunchtimes. Please ask if you are unsure about appropriate footwear.

Marked Clothing

All possessions, especially clothes, should be clearly marked with your child’s name. This is vital if “lost” items are to be returned to their owners. It is also very useful if coats have loops so they can be hung up in the cloakrooms.

No back packs or rucksacks are allowed in school. They take up too much space on coat pegs and lead to trip hazards in the corridors. Slim book bags are all that is required for school. Lunchboxes can be placed on to the lunchbox trolley in the corridor outside of classrooms.

Do not allow your child to bring toys or valuables to school. While every effort is made, the school cannot be responsible for loss or damage to clothes or property. There is a jewellery policy which has been agreed by all the primary schools in Loughborough. A copy is available from outside the school office.
